The Mask Event Team
The Maskettes discerning sense of style and contemporary knowledge of venues make every party an event to remember!
Sarah Kay - Managing Director
Sarah loves finding out what makes a client tick. She recently spent weeks sourcing the perfect hue of blue for a water bottle used at an event she produced for a product launch. This kind of attention to detail is celebrated by clients who commend Mask for consistently recognising and exceeding their expectations. Newly appointed as Mask's Managing Director; Sarah relishes getting invited to champagne dinners at the Gherkin as part of her day job. With a special affinity for throwing soirées in The City, securing a client such as Chanel would be an absolute delight. Anything that captures timeless beauty, such as Cecil Beaton's work, can easily find its way into a party she is planning. She adores sushi, lychee martinis and also secretly wanted to be Cinderella as a child (owing to her gown at the ball, not so much the housekeeping!).
Emily Rushton - Senior Event Producer
Emily is Mask's Senior Event Producer extraordinaire. She has affection for using a myriad of lighting options at Mask events: banana yellow and sugar sweets being her favourites. Her rapport for working up fabulous creative briefs and pitches translates into clients like The Royal Court Theatre trusting her implicitly to work her Maskette magic. A pudding station makes her heart melt, along with a "wow" from her client when they arrive finding everything under her direction executed with precision. She's part vintage (with her retro Diana camera that takes 120mm film), part tomboy (enjoying computer games such as the visually arresting Limbo), part girly girl (she knits, crochets and sews!) and never goes camping without her miniature Penhaligon's cosmetics.
Melanie Rose - Senior Account Manager
Melanie is in love with London. From its hidden cocktail bars in the back streets of London, to its underground caves lit by tiny flickering candles. Throwing events at iconic venues such as St. Paul's Cathedral and always presenting an element of surprise to her guests is her forte. This self-described "Little Miss Jolly" credits her determination and will power with being able to balance thousand seat dinners during the workweek and climbing the volcanic cones of Kilimanjaro for charity in her spare time. She desires beautiful chandeliers for intimate dinners and bright lights for glitzy parties. A country music enthusiast at heart, she has a weakness for macaroons and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (because he realises the error of his ways, and gives all the gifts back).
Cassie Worman - Event Manager
Cassie enjoys applying quirky detailing to every creative brief that comes across her desk. As Mask's Event Manager, her quintessential account would be the promotion or launch of any chic, luxurious or offbeat product from a fashion or music PR agency. Cassie is a Maskette who appreciates a trusting nature in a client and prides herself on adapting any venue to suit every client's needs. When she's lost in London, she finds herself in the West End. It makes her brain fizz and eyes light up to feel Covent Garden brimming with excitement. She experiences mirth while devouring Create's bangers and mash bowl food option, as it's dainty and pretty; but most importantly hearty! She is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, an exclusive beach with a clear night's sky and a rare fillet steak with a blended margarita.
Gillian Farrar - Event Assistant
Gillian has been described as an Argentine tango dancer; perhaps because she personifies one who has an astounding amount of composure under strict deadlines. Add to that her style and flare, and you get a dynamic Events Assistant. While her day mainly consists of site visits and implementing new techniques to keep her fellow Maskettes organised, she admits her compulsion for cleanliness is vital to her role. Gillian's opinion of The City prevailing as the most progressive venue for events is supported by the fact that it is extremely quiet at night, with so many fabulous venues hidden throughout. She prefers true champagne to just bubbles, a holiday in Corfu with family and is currently drawing up plans to make her escape to Florence in about five years time.
Carly Bristow - Event Assistant
Carly imagines her perfect event to be in New York, high above Central Park, "Gossip Girl style". An Event Assistant who celebrates crazy ideas being pooled into one spectacular event; she prides herself on keeping calm in the most highly charged situations. On her holidays you can find her on the beach in Cyprus, battling through the mud at Glastonbury - rocking out to some Arctic Monkeys - or simply enjoying the company of her close knit family in England. Defining herself as a friendly and enthusiastic "neat freak", she admires loyalty and attention to detail. An admitted chocolate addict, her favourite day would be spent in Paris, watching Glee with a piña colada in one hand and Chinese stir-fry in the other.
