This year…
On our busiest day of the year we had ten events running from 6am until 2am the following day.
Throughout 2010 we had over 14,000 happy guests.
Our most creative event was a high school prom/Glee event at Old Billingsgate for 900 people. The guests really went to town and all came in full prom dress and along with the pastel tastic décor, the overall feel was very retro cool.
Our longest time on site for an event was 21 hours for a product launch at Altitude. We used the Media Centre and Altitude 360 to launch an innovative product for a well know consumer brand. The set up included shifting around 2 tonnes of product onto site!
As a whole we definitely noticed a difference this year compared to last. We have had a really busy year with many more events. 2011 is looking to be even busier!
This year we have worked in venues across London from the Waldorf to Billingsgate to the TATE Modern and have really enjoyed the variety of venues we have worked with.
We transformed a Wetherspoons pub for two events. We created a knees up, cockney style event complete with British pub food and a pearly king and queen, and the clients loved it.
We enjoyed working with our sister companies Create and Ultimate Experience on a very successful Christmas period.
Our constant pursuit of increasing our venue knowledge led to 176 venues being added to the website with more to come…
We held an event in a venue just one day after a fire destroyed part of the space. With a little determination anything can be done.
The Mask team ate just under 30 afternoon teas and 37 Christmas dinners in the space of 8 weeks.
We waved goodbye to our fantastic intern Tonia and the fabulous head of production, Tash and welcomed Emily and Charlie in their places.
Our taste buds were treated when we worked with a Michelin star chef at The Deck at the National Theatre.
We tweeted lots and have collected over 500 followers to date.
Our obsession with bunting has increased, we have sourced some great suppliers of (fake) stuffed peacocks and we commissioned two giant British bulldogs. Our creative streak continues to be nurtured!
We found some wonderful new suppliers and products as well as working with our ever reliable existing suppliers. We enjoy regular conversations and laughs with them and are grateful for their patience and enthusiasm when dealing with our requests.
We became addicted to Tunnocks tea cakes, three boxes in one week was the peak of the addiction. We feel we have it slightly more under control now!
We launched our new website, which we adore. www.mask.co.uk
We look forward to more in 2011.
