For beauties on a budget who love designer threads at affordable prices…pop into Zara this autumn and you'll find beaded python minis and shift dresses inviting you charm some snakes into your wardrobe.

And to induce you into a venomous fit of excitement...add python pedi's to your slithering trends this season. Hailing from Monterey, California this bang on trend from pedicurist Terri Silacci uses authentic python snakeskin over a coat of any coloured nail varnish of your choosing, then seals it up with a clear coat for a finishing touch. Silacci describes her technique as using a "renewable resource" due to the fact she receives it from a neighbour who runs a reptile shop and graciously provides her with the snakeskin from a 4-foot long female python who naturally sheds the parchment-like skin. At Mask, we have to admit we're a bit attached to our Leighton Denny polish, but we could be swayed to slap on a bit of python parchment over it…if convinced!
